Getting to know new environment

I became aware of my surroundings only when I took a moment to look around. It was a big crowd of people. Everyone went about their business and I went with them. Thoughts swirled in my head that I couldn’t make out. I couldn’t understand where and why I was going, but I decided to continue moving forward, and there, if I reach the intersection, I’ll decide what to do.

I began to look at the people around me, they all looked very gloomy, no one went into the cafés and shops that walked along this street. The sky above was a peaceful shade of blue, resembling a calm ocean. The buildings had the quaint beauty of old towns in Europe, featuring lovely architecture and a nostalgic atmosphere. Everything looked nice and pretty and the sun shined so bright, and I could feel nice warmth on my skin, that this dream even began to seem like some kind of gift for so much time. I didn’t have pleasant and calm dreams for a very long time? So this nice and calming atmosphere made me feel, that I don’t need to worry about anything in this reality.

Suddenly, a huge man appeared in front of me, blocking the road with his huge body. Without attaching any importance to it, I tried to bypass it. But this trashier did not let me pass. I raised my head and looked at his face. He was under 2 meters tall, at a time when my one and a half meters were breathing into his chest. He had very beautiful features, well-groomed hair and big eyes in which the whole world seemed to be displayed. His face was twisted into a smile, which was from ear to ear. He stood and looked at me from top to bottom, a certain excitement and a certain animal nature shone in his eyes. He looked at me like a lion at his prey, as if now he would attack and tear me to shreds. I felt very shy and uncomfortable from such a look, but I tried to make a straight face, and then raised my eyebrow, showing with all my appearance saying: “What is the matter?”.

He grinned and made me a curtsey allowing me to pass on.

“Thank you.” I spoke, and I was about to pass, when he again redirected my path. Now his face was already in 5 centimeters close to mine. I was so surprised by this, that I staggered back.

“What’s the matter?”

I started thinking about why he’s behaving this way? Maybe I broke some rule of this world? Maybe I looked too nonchalant and relaxed, and I should not have considered what was around like the rest? Or maybe this is one of the dreams where I get into trouble and the handsome main character saves me? Although this character also looks beautiful. So stop, he looks menacing, so he’s probably not a kind character at all, and he gives me little shivers looking at me like that.

“Yes” answered a low and dry voice that digs into your soul and compresses everything inside, this voice did not suit him at all, it should have been more melodic and suitable for such a beautiful face. “The problem is that I really like to play with little girls like you. Moreover, I see you are not local and do not know our customs at all.”
