Story

“Did you think I wouldn’t find out? I’m your mother. Where do you think you get the thrill of killing?”

“Ha, you got me.” I guess there’s no point in running from reality. I’ve to admit that it was fun. I tried hard to hide that side of myself. I tried to feel and act like a human being, but in the end it wasn’t worth it. I just smiled and sat down. “What’re you going to do now? Are you going to report me to the police? You know I can’t risk anyone knowing about me. How do you know I won’t kill you?” I stood up and walked towards her. I could see the confusion on my mother’s face. Well, she made it clear to me that I shouldn’t hide the real me. I guess I should thank her for her help. I still had the vase in my hand. I smashed it against the wall. “Oh come on, you’re not going to kill me. We’re the same, aren’t we?”

“You say we’re the same, but you act differently. Your face shows all your feelings. And right now you’re trembling with fear. You just want to live. To be honest, your existence annoys me. I forgot about you five years ago.” I stood in front of her. It was a lie that I’d forgotten her. My memories with her were the happiest. She raised me all by herself. She was there for me every time. Her life revolved around me. She was there for all those moments when I felt happy, sad, angry and scared. Honestly, I’m grateful for her. I admit that it hurts a little to kill her, but she’s the one who brought the situation on herself

“Stop it, it’s not funny.” She takes a step back. She’s afraid. Of me. Of her daughter. That’s funny.

“You shouldn’t have come back. It’s the only way. If you’re really like me, you’d understand, wouldn’t you? Sorry in advance.” I pushed her to the ground and pulled her up the stairs by her feet. She tried so hard to resist. Her fingernails scraped the wooden floor. He made a squeaking noise. Every time she tried to struggle more, the noise got louder. Let her try, she’ll not escape her fate. I threw her on the floor of the loft and held her face up. I raised my hand and looked at her face. She was crying. And why? It’s better to die than to live in a troubled world. I’m just putting her out of her misery. Slit. She just stared at me and fell over. Why are they all staring at me? I should run before someone calls the police. I think it’s time to say goodbye to this town for good. After 5 years, my dream has finally come true. I don’t know what to do now, but all I know is that nothing gives me more pleasure than getting my hands dirty. Maybe I’ll visit my father’s new family. I bet I’ll have a lot of fun with them.
