the ring – part 2

After she told me all this, I started to study magic, and decided that I would only take the ring off one day, if I was able to fully control my powers.

I talked about this decision with my grandmother, and she spent several years teaching me everything she knew, including how to make the ring, just in case.

When she realized that she had already taught me everything she knew, she came to the conclusion that it was time for me to go a step further, a step that not even she had taken.

She handed me Elen’s diary, which contained all the spells she knew.

The last person who tried to do the spells in this journal was my great-grandmother, and she eventually passed away because she could not control the magic.

Since my grandmother knew this, she never had the courage to read the diary, but she realized that I was very careful and that I had a potential for magic that she had never seen.

It was time to take a chance, maybe I can end this curse.

I started reading the journal and practicing on my own, and by the time I realized it, I had mastered all the spells that were in the journal.

Yesterday I took off the ring. At first, it was horrible, my human form was not made to withstand so much power, but as time went by I adapted. My body has changed, I’m certainly no longer human.

I can’t really explain what I am now, but I am loving it. Now I understand why Elen didn’t want to stop being a goddess, even though she knew how to do it. To have all this power is incredible, I have never felt so good.

I promised my grandmother that if I could, I would end the family curse, and I will. But not now, now I want to enjoy this feeling.
