How to & Overview

The Book Proposal

Once you’ve briefed the Story Editor and it has all your information, details and direction, it will present you with a first Book Proposal.

The Book Proposal is:

  • Suggested titles for your book
  • A proposed table of content
  • Some writing samples for you to check out
  • The author’s biography
  • The book description which appears on the back cover
  • A dedication suggestion

Not happy with the direction? Not a problem. You can change each of the elements to suit your book and your audience.

Or, you can go back, and revise the Book Briefing to get a new Proposal.

There are different ways you can change, alter and edit all of the elements in the Book Proposal, but it’s worth spending time to get it right… it’s the final stage before your whole book is created

This video takes you through how the Story Editor presents you with the Book Proposal and some advice on how to amend all those elements.
