Marius-Constantin Dinu

Marius is the founder of ExtensityAI. Born in Romania and raised in Austria, his academic journey began with a Bachelor’s in Software Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Hagenberg, and culminated in a Ph.D. in machine learning from Johannes Kepler University, under the supervision of the renowned Sepp Hochreiter. His research focused on advancing the frontiers of reinforcement learning, continuous learning, and domain adaptation, resulting in multiple publications. The centerpiece of his doctoral work was a pioneering neurosymbolic framework, which formed the basis of his Ph.D. thesis and was developed independently while working in the tech industry. This technology became the foundation for ExtensityAI, the company he founded to accelerate scientific research by building the next generation of intelligent, autonomous systems.
