Chapter Six -Is damn hot in here

I vaguely heard him explain something to the two men, I only caught bits and pieces, like someone will be happy about a gift – I was confused.

The two men lifted their sedan and we set off.

I was amazed when I looked slightly out of the palanquin and realised that I was being taken to a truly magnificent palace.

As we entered the corridors, drums began to play rhythmically and a scent of lavender and pomegranate permeated the rooms.

Everything here was so stylish, the palace was encased in marble, with beautiful columns of the finest alabaster stone reaching up.

Then we stopped, the men put the palanquin on the ground with me.

I heard the sound of the official’s voice saying: „Oh Pharaoh, My Pharaoh, I have here your birthday present„.

„Oh Anbus, show it to me,“ said a younger male voice that sounded very attractive.

Suddenly, the official reached into the palanquin and pulled me out by my arm.

I grumbled: „Ouch, that really hurt.„

„Shut up, woman,“ he hissed at me.

It was clear that now I had to dream about a pharaoh – I would never go to bed late again.

My eyes turned to a young man with skin as beautiful as caramel, almost shimmering in the light of the sun, brown long hair braided together almost reaching the floor and the worse was, his eyes reflecting the Nile.

Damn -this pharaoh was sexy.

I easily recognised a cheeky grin on his face when he noticed my gaze.

Then I looked around and discovered a golden throne behind him,

Next to this imposing throne, at the foot to be precise, sat three young women, perhaps my age, judging by their clothes they were concubines.

The pharaoh strode gracefully towards me,as he stared at me,I had to take a deep breath-those eyes were so beautiful.

He looked over me from top to bottom and murmured: „That’s what I call a gift, I like her“.
