Do you really want to hear the truth?
Are you sure?
Yes, you say, but I still lie.
I lie, because a comfortable lie is much nicer than an uncomfortable truth, you know it too,
but you still pretend like you actually want to hear the truth, donât you?
Honesty is everything, I hate being lied too, eventually the truth is gonna come out anyways, why bother lying, right?
If you never had to lie to survive, you might.
A good lie is like a spoonful of honey, itâs thick and slowly drips from the spoon onto your lips, but itâs so sweet, you donât mind the wait.
It takes time to prepare the spoon, to put just the right amount on it, so it isnât too sweet but still makes you crave more, make you content, give you a warm feeling in your stomach, make you believe in fate.
Of course it wasnât like that, yes, everything is fine, it all worked out, itâs so nice to believe that, isnât it?
The thing is you donât have a problem being lied to, you just donât want to find out. As long as you can believe itâs the truth, everything is a good fit.
Thatâs why you also lie to yourself. By staying in your delusion, by not questioning enough, by reading one little fact and immediately believing it.
Itâs easier that way, isnât it?
So why do you want to hear the truth?
If youâre not gonna believe it anyway?
