„You killed me, great. You feel better now? Onyx asked as they pulled the sword out of their heart and lungs. Its not that it didn’t hurt, Onyx had just grown numb over the centuries. Now it was just… Tuesday.
The warrior who had stabbed Onyx watched silently as they pulled the sword out of their body, nodding. He did feel better. „I do actually.“ A lot of pain and sadness had been lifted from him after stabbing Onyx.
Onyx smiled, even as the wound in their body continued to bleed, slowly starting to heal itself. Not being human definitely had its perks. „So… same time next week?“ Onyx questioned as they put the sword back in its designated place, planning to clean it later.
The warrior who had stabbed Onyx thought for a few moments, before he nodded. „Yeah that sounds good.“ His in-laws were coming to visit later in the week and he would need another session with Onyx after their visit. Nothing else ever really helped him manage his frustrations, so he was glad to have heard about the service Onyx provided.
„Well then Mave, see you next Tuesday.“ Onyx hummed, watching as Maverick left. They had tried a lot of different jobs over time, but none paid as well as being a therapist who offers to be stabbed or hurt in other ways.
It was also pretty handy that no one in this town seemed to mind that Onyx was basically invincible. The therapist had been in other towns and had been forced to run, so this was nice.
The only bad thing was that they didn’t know how long they could keep this gig going, considering that the kings of this land and the surrounding lands aren’t exactly too keen on keeping the peace.
The kings constantly try to steal each others land and they do not care who loses their life in the progress. It was hard to make a living in times like this, but Onyx managed worse times before, so he would be fine as long as no one eradicates all of humanity.
For now, the therapist checked their calendar, getting ready for their next appointment.
