16 Outro: Finally

On that day we had our two-months anniversary. How had time passed by so quickly?
“What are you thinking about?” you asked me.
“About us. I can’t believe that we’ve been together for two months now. I’m scared that time is just passing us by way too quickly. I want to stay young forever with you. What if I blink once, and we’re already so old and barely have time left together? I’m scared.”
You hugged me and stroked my back and head with your hands. “I wish I could take all your worries away, princess. But you have to try to calm down a little and think about the fact that we’re together at this moment, right? The best present in the world is the present. Don’t waste it while worrying about getting old. We’re going to get old together, so as long as we’re together, we’ve got a smile on our faces, right?”
“You’re right. Thank you for always saying what I need to hear. No wonder you’ve been my life savior for such a long time”, I said, while smiling happily against your shoulder.
“So, are you ready for our performance, my soulmate?” you excitedly wanted to know.
“Yes, I’ve never been more ready, my soulmate”, I nearly shouted. Due to our happiness, we were holding both of our hands and jumped around. Together we were indeed young forever.
“Do they actually know I’m going to perform with you?”
“No, they don’t”, you answered me. “It’s a surprise.”
“But what if they don’t like or accept me? You know how crazy everyone is for you. I don’t want them to be upset because of me.”
“They won’t, I promise. You know I never break promises. They’re going to love the fact that you’re my girl. The most amazing, beautiful, adorable, magical, talented and perfect girl and musician on this planet. How could they not love you? I’m sure you’re going to gain a lot of new fans tonight.”
My eyes were getting teary. “Are you sure?”
“More than sure.”
I took your hand and placed it on my heart. “Do you feel how excited I am?”, I whispered, because only you were allowed to hear that.
“I’m here. I’m not going to leave you.” You also put my hand on your chest and I felt your heartbeat. “I think this is the highlight of my career and my life”, you smiled.
We hugged once again. That hug felt like home. I caressed your cute, little head.
“All I know is you’re here with me. Let’s make another unforgettable memory together.”
“I can’t wait to tell the world that you’re mine”, you told me. You were looking at me with your mesmerizing, shiny eyes.
I started to feel the excitement before a concert, but this time it was different, way more different. “I also can’t wait. But am I allowed to feel this amount of happiness?”
“I’ll make sure to make you even happier than now. I love you.”
“I love you more”, I answered. And we went on stage. We were happy together. Performing the song we’d made together. Us against the world. When I looked into your eyes, everything became ours. You and me, always and forever.

Our present isn’t different. But – even now I‘d do anything to spend just one more day with you. When that day would pass, I‘d wish for the same thing all over again. When my lifetime would be over, I‘d wish for another lifetime with you, if possible. And when all my lifetimes would be completed, I‘d wish for eternity with you. That would mean I‘d be in heaven.
