I have always wondered

why your house is such a mess

and why don’t you declutter

divide it all into three piles

a no

a maybe

and a yes

I know you are not

only collecting clutter

when you say

all of this I need to keep

you are collecting

wounds and scars

and most of them run deep

Because all that mess

is a reminder

of being someone’s

maybe

of being a no

but never

someone’s yes
