Story

I found myself on the second floor of an abandoned factory building with my dad, who was visibly concerned. My memories were hazy, but I soon recalled that I was terminally ill with a unique condition that could trigger an apocalyptic disaster. But I didn’t feel ill. In fact, I had never felt better than before! However, for them, I was a ticking bomb, and my dad was worried. The illness was no ordinary one, and I knew I had to keep it a secret.

As I tried to piece together my memories, I remembered having superpowers and working with a group of friends to stop the evil forces trying to destroy magic and control the world. However, I also recalled being betrayed by an old friend named Leo, and I couldn’t shake off the feeling that he was from the other side. Traitor. I kept repeating in my head. I remembered that we were fighting against an evil organization that sought to eradicate magic and dominate the world, and he was there, by their side!

I encountered an old friend, one that was also just as untrustworthy, if not even more. She tried to extract information from me, but I brushed her off. I then met a girl, Alice. She used to be part of my team if I remembered right, but her memories had been erased as well, and hers were not coming back. She changed. She seemed to have no recollection of her past life, and I felt a pang of sadness seeing her like that. What a shame, I thought.

I left Alice and searched for my other friends, hoping to get some answers. The untrustworthy girl reappeared, acting concerned about my well-being. Another scheme? It certainly was original. Ignoring her, I headed out to explore a mysterious castle-like building that kept changing its appearance. As I approached the building, my head began aching and just then I had a flashback of a past mission where my friends and I tried to take down the magical shield surrounding the castle. We had to take down the shield to retrieve something important, but what? I remembered trying to use my magic to break the shield, but I blacked out before I could succeed. The memory ended there. I decided to enter the building. My blood froze at the sight before me. My past teammates, and my friends, were frozen in space and time, and the moment I entered, they awoke. Did I do this to them? We had to quickly solve a riddle to obtain a powerful book and key. The book held the key to magic power, and the key itself was shrouded in mystery. We heard a loud boom from the other side of the building, signaling the approach of our enemies.

The interior of the building was like an old fabric with levitating stairs and fragments of floors. We had to navigate this treacherous terrain to reach a special desk with a secret compartment. Some of my friends were busy solving a code on the wall, while others were trying to find a way to press the six keys that would unlock the compartment. We finally solved the codes and pressed them, opening a small drawer containing the book. As my friends picked it up, I reached into the box and found a metallic object – the key. It had strange engravings on it. I felt a surge of excitement and trepidation as I picked it up, wondering what it could unlock. As I held the key, I woke up.
