What is wrong

with the human design

why do we fight

why do we hate

and why not paying your taxes on time

makes molesting a child

the smaller of a crime

Why raping a woman can be forgiven

he had a bad day and he also was drunk

so they let him get away with this one

just to find her a couple of days later

dead in the back of his trunk

I know as a poet

I should write about love and flowers

and somebody’s smile

but this time my poem has turned into a rant

while this world continues

to be cruel and vile

it is hard to accept that love is only

a slowly growing plant
