In a world full of haste,
distraction
and the constant push for more,
dying brings us to a halt
– it forces us
to pay attention
to what truly matters.
Through the awareness of goodbye,
we begin to cherish life as a gift.
Dying awakens gratitude.
Life becomes more precious
when we realize
it doesn’t last forever.
It shifts our perspective
from a frantic race
to a conscious dance.
In a world
that never stops moving,
proximity to the end teaches us to pause.
To listen.
To truly see.
To pause is not to flee.
It is a courageous step
out of the noise
and into what is essential.
Those who can pause
learn to tell the difference
between what is loud
and what is important.
Time is not an enemy
running away from us.
It is a gift
– one we often overlook,
believing it to be endless.
But it is its very limit
that makes it so precious.
Still,
we often chase it
as if it were infinite,
as if we could catch it
and hold it tight.
It is a gift to realize that
we don’t need more time
– we need more life in the time we have.
