It is October 1848 in Venice. A young woman called Edith E. Shaw has the desire to write. Her father likes this idea, but her brother is not one of those people. In a time where many female authors had to hide their identity to gain success, Edith is trying to become a published author herself. But will she actually accomplish such thing? Will she ever gain the same success as the man in this industry? Or will she be known as anonymous?
