Migration and living in a new country are not always easy. Sometimes it’s quite the opposite. It’s one thing to migrate out of your own desire and understanding that you want to live and develop abroad. It is quite another to be forced to move because of the war and aggression of a neighbour, which we had to face.
And in this case, getting used to new realities and a new life is not only not easy; it is catastrophically difficult. I know that sometimes you give up and often even have a great desire to stop trying, leave everything and go home. The problem is that there might be nothing left of the place you used to call home.
I would like this book to be a little cheat sheet with tips on how not to lose yourself, your common sense and your love of life itself in migration. It’s about how to take things in stride, what moments are best ignored, and how to build your own support system. How to find light in the darkness and how to never give up even when everything is lost.
