No solace in science

I told a friend that I want to quit my PhD to become a poet: “Wow, you really must hate money.” I told a friend that I want to quit my PhD to become a poet: “But I thought that the problem was self-doubt? ” I told a friend that I want to quit my PhD to become a poet: “I am sure that’s what the world needs…” I told a friend that, on top of a PhD, I want to become a poet, because if I have to sit down and write for thigh deadlines, I might as well enjoy it.
