"there's enough on my plate" she whispers

but an invisible hand keeps adding more and more,

spoon after spoon;

and she keeps on eating, eating eating eating,

but the hand doesn't stop;

"there's ENOUGH on my plate," she says out loud

but it keeps going, faster and faster,

and she's still eating, eating eating eating,

faster and faster, more and more;

but no matter how hard she tried, at the end of the day the plate still overflowed,

she couldn't keep up the pace;

so everything came crashing down

and at last, her plate was crushed underneath the weight;

"THERE'S ENOUGH ON MY PLATE, CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE?" she screams

but nobody cares,

nobody fucking cares;

and then she too crashes down, screaming and crying, buried underneath the devil's weight

the year's ending

and so is [my] life

everything needs to come to an end,

and every new year offers a new start;

the soul screams "take it, do it this time, leave this fucked up place behind"

oh, how i'd love to

but then there's the mind,

the mind that knows that this isn't right;

why shouldn't we leave something behind that doesn't suit us anymore?

even if it's our life?
