The Book of Sheaghmus

These stories are dedicated to my Uncle Séamus, or James as we called him. He was an accomplished singer and box player, an important musical inspiration, an aboriginal of the west Kerry Gaeltacht and someone with a heart of gold who I loved dearly. His purity of spirit, profound musicality, expressiveness, his loquaciousness and linguistic talents and above all his kindness will forever be in my memory. These stories are dedicated to his memory, his exquisite voice and the important influence he had in my life; mo chroi James Begley.
