Poems are like water, that are flooding through my mind, brain and veins. I cry and bleed rhymes and lyrics like a fresh river, that are transformed into the ink on my paper.

Water has memory. It has flooded through many generations, decades and centuries. It has so many forms and shapes and surrounds us in everything and everyone that we deeply love. It has witnessed joy and pain. Love and death. It stores everything in itself, reminding us of lost dreams, hopes and wishes, when we need them the most. Letting us remember agony and relief.

So let me take you to the river, which holds the most worthy sources of all the things on earth.

The spring for life and pain and death.

Our stream of memories.

The river, called: Remembrance.

It runs through the mind, sometimes calm and quiet, sometimes rough and loud. Through the Rooted Vision Forest, the Holy Wishing Woods, with the fantasy trees, and the Tribute Valleys. Passing by the Yawning Moor, all the way to the Echoing Caves and Honoring Mountains. All parts of the memory landscape that maps the mind and creates the character of who we are today. And one look at the reflecting surface of another memorial river, one sip of the cristal clear liquid, one swim in these currents, would tell us, that we could never survive the rivers of someone else's mind. That we barely survive in our own. To control these waters means being at peace with yourself and understanding the little whispers of the jumping waves, before they flood into the Souvenir Lake, falling off the edges of the Desire Cliffs and then pouring right into the Ocean of our Coast of Thoughts. A coast we're already very familiar with...

Especially after a great storm.

Be careful who you lead to your Remembrance. At what spot you decide to drink from and swim in it. The river contains the perfect weapon to use against yourself. These waters can be very deep and cold. Refreshing once and then, at the same time, brutally freezing.

Creatures of good and bad omens are living in these waters and showing you things from your past life that made you who you are today. Or pulling you underwater, until you're so overwhelmed with everything, you forget how to breathe again. Watch out for their melodic singing spells that hypnotize you. Leading you to places you don't return from. Letting you enjoy the feeling of how your lungs are slowly filling with the fresh and tasty H2O.

Water can be dangerous, but is also necessary to survive.

And who are we, without memories to drown into, late at night?
