That’s a date. I have a date! With a big smile and two drinks, I went back to my sister. As I turned around the corner, I saw a group of three guys talking to Celine. One was sitting on my recliner, on my towel. The happy smile on my face vanished. I can absolutely not stand when strangers sit on my towel with their wet panties. “That’s my towel.” I said in a calm but also somehow aggressive tone. The guy sitting on it looked up to me and grinned. “Oh, is it?” he replied provocatively. “Move.” now my voice was already a little less friendly. At least he stood up, but he still didn’t move one inch. “I said move.” I repeated. His grin faded, as he looked into my eyes and responded: “No.” I angrily squinted my eyes. I took a deep breath to calm myself down, it’s ok charlotte, it’s just another idiot, don’t freak out. “Who do you think you are?” I tried to say as calmly as possible. “Oh, just a guy talking with this absolute hot girl.” he smiled and looked down to my sister. Charmed, she looked away. “You mean flirting?” I responded, not too thrilled. “If you wanna call it like that, yes.” I took a deep breath and said: “No.” The guy wrinkled confused his eyebrows. “How do you mean no?” “I mean no, in terms, you will not continue flirting with her.” “Why that? You’re jealous?” he grinned. “Oh, don’t be ridiculous.” I said rolling my eyes and his grin disappeared, into an uncertain smile. “I simply don’t want you to flirt with her.” “And who are you, that you think you can decide that?” He stood up straight, standing now just in front of me. He was almost one head taller than me, but as my cousin was almost a giant with his 189cm, I was not really impressed. How often did I fight with him and win. Boosted in confidence, I looked at him and said: “Well I’m her sister.” He was not impressed, but I also wasn’t finished yet. “And I think she deserves better than you.” “You don’t even know me!” he sounded a little offended. “Yeah, you’re right.” I responded sorryly. “But what I know is already enough.” I added. I completely hit him at his ego. I nailed it. A small satisfied smile grew on my face. His face in comparison was more scrunched together. “Well luckily, I’m not interested either, in getting to know you closer. We wouldn’t be good friends anyway.” and with that he went, together with his two friends. Satified, I looked at my sister and gave her her drink. “Well done, Charly. It’s the first day of our holiday, and you already made yourself uncherished.” my sister praised me. “But, I also have a date!” I argued. Celine’s eyes grew. “You have a date? How’s that?” “I don’t know, it seems that Greece is my spot to find someone who could actually like me.” “You mean your rude, way too straight forward you?” Celine smiled amused. “Actually, I think yes.” my cheeks got a little red, when I thought back to this super awkward situation. “And why are you allowed to have a holiday crush and I don’t?” Celine asked me in a serious tone. “Of course you are allowed to have a holiday crush, but please don’t choose the first best idiot crossing your way, like that guy…” “So I can take the second best idiot crossing my way?” she provoked me cheekily. “Ha ha, you know what I mean. I just don’t want you to waste your time and energy like you did back in Orléans.” “Oh thank you, you’re so kind!” Celine took a sip of her drink, offended by my way of taking care of her. “I’m sorry, I promise, I will try to work on my way of saying the truth.” “Sometimes you need to think before you say something”
