A friend finds someone else

„Hey Dennis, would you mind if you stay away from the apartment for today? I’m inviting someone. “, his roommate asked. Dennis hated going outside, the only thing he hated more than that was being stuck with a person he didn’t knew. „Ok, I made lunch it’s in the oven to stay warm. Just take it if you’re hungry. I will find something. “Dennis walked into his bedroom and put some things into a small bag.

Some things, not much only clothing in case it would rain, and he got wet or something else happened, a power bank and a cable to charge his phone which he probably will use the hole time or his tablet. He needs to finish a school project. „Promise me to get something to eat!”, his roommate Alex sad as he put his wallet into his pocket. „Yes Alex, I’m not a child anymore!” Dennis rolled his eyes on him.

To be honest he doesn’t even want to. „You are going to send me a picture, right?!”, Alex commanded. He really cares for Dennis’ health. It was annoying but at least he was caring.

Alex or with his full name Alexander was one of the popular guys in college. Dennis didn’t know why he picked him and asked if they could move together. But Dennis was happy (at least once in his lonely life). Alex was his only friend, except from a childhood friend he hadn’t seen in a while.

His name was Pete, he was a red-haired guy about five Months younger than Dennis. Pete was an extrovert and Dennis wasn’t, so he just needs to wait for Pete to recognize the creepy quiet kid he was. And he will, they are living in the same city how hard should it be. There are not many guys dressed like him in big cities like New York.

„Yes, I will!” Dennis sad while putting on his shoes and a coat. „Have fun!”, Alex shouted from the living room of the apartment. „You too!”, Dennis replied.

He took his keys and left. He didn’t know where to go so he just walked to the next underground station and took a ride to downtown. The open library was one of the quiet places in the city. A place where he could work in peace and quiet.
