Milan is a wonderful city; I must admit this. This town lies between indescribable beauty and gentle history. At night is Milan lovely. The lights wake up, the sunset lies over the city and the soft warm sunlight, that gets weaker, overstretches the sky like a cupola. The stars begin to bloom, and the moonlight makes the Duomo di Milano shine white.
The warm nightly wind strokes softly my face. I look around and see people. They are sitting in restaurants or in cafés. Other people are walking across the Piazza del Duomo.
The last sunbeam lightens the Piazza. Until the darkness engulfed him.
Milan is wonderful, I already said that, but I can only repeat that. Milan is an immortal city and I – I’m just a German poet who is fascinated by Milan.
