Angels in The Sky

Story

Like something clicked

Watching myself watching you

And the waves of the ocean

Bashing us in

And we’re trapped in the lagoon

Of sadness and eerie

I don’t know why I am here

But I see your face floating by

But your soul went to the sky

And in front of me there’s a glass

And I want to say my last goodbye

But you’re too saint

For my dirty veiny hands

Because you don’t deserve me

And I don’t deserve you

Because love is good

But not loving is better

Because this lagoon is colder

Without you

But I deserve this cold

And you deserve the warmth of the sun

Up there in the sky where you are

And when you visit me at night

I want you to know

That I feel sorry for everything

For the love I didn’t deserve

And for the shame you didn’t deserve

Because I know you cried

When you were still alive

So I can cry now when you’re gone

And though you’re up there in the sky

I feel like you still listen to me

So hear me out,

I have never loved anyone like I loved you

As you might have never loved anyone like me

And I wish I saw you for the last time

Because I want to let you know

That your love was the best gift I’ve ever had
