One day, Papa Puff noticed that little Pebble was feeling a bit uncomfortable. Pebble was squirming and making funny faces, and Papa Puff quickly realized what was going on—Pebble had some gas bubbles in his belly that needed to come out! Papa Puff gently picked up Pebble and held him close.
Papa Puff: Let’s help that tummy feel better, Pebble.
Papa Puff started to rub Pebble’s back softly, making little circles with his flipper. Pebble let out a tiny toot, but his little face still looked scrunched up in discomfort.
Pebble:Â Toot, toot…
But those belly bubbles were still there, making Pebble feel all wiggly and squirmy. Papa Puff knew he needed to do a bit more to help his little one. So, he laid Pebble down on a soft, cozy blanket and gently moved his flipper up and down on Pebble’s round belly, pressing ever so softly.
Papa Puff: Let’s see if we can get those bubbles out, Pebble.
As Papa Puff pressed and moved his flipper in a gentle rhythm, Pebble started to feel a little better. Then, with a funny little noise, Pebble let out a bigger toot, followed by another one!
Pebble:Â Toot, toot, thooooosh!
Papa Puff couldn’t help but chuckle, his heart, warming at the sight of Pebble starting to relax.
Papa Puff:Â There you go! That must feel better, huh?
Pebble’s face began to soften, and soon a tiny giggle escaped from his beak. Papa Puff continued to press and rub Pebble’s belly, humming a little tune as he did so. With each gentle press, another little toot came out, and Pebble seemed to feel lighter and happier.
Pebble:Â Hee hee!
After a few more belly presses, Pebble’s discomfort was completely gone. He kicked his little flippers happily and let out a few more giggles, feeling much better now that the uncomfortable gas was gone.
Papa Puff: We all have our moments, Pebble. Belly bubbles need to come out!
Pebble looked up at Papa Puff with shining eyes, cooing in contentment. He was so happy that his Papa knew just how to make everything better. Papa Puff leaned down and gave Pebble a big, warm hug, feeling grateful for these precious moments with his baby.
From that day on, Papa Puff knew exactly what to do whenever Pebble had belly bubbles—some gentle belly presses, a few soothing words, and lots of love. And every time, Pebble would giggle and coo, knowing that his Papa would always be there to make him feel better. Together, they turned those uncomfortable moments into happy, giggly times that they both cherished.
