Different Worlds

in different worlds, we live
left no common ground
once walked on the same path
but now in the aftermath
of what once was
our friendships purity has vanished
it all seems forced
it’s still and silent
don’t know what’s left to say
in our different worlds
each other’s words have become so quiet

Destroying Force

does it cause you pain?
that I leave you,
time and time again
come back knocking at your door
expect things to be just as before
and am I to blame
that nothing feels quite as it came?
is it me, who broke our bond?
of our friendships once so fond?
wonder now with deep remorse
has our friendship run its course
and was I the destroying force?

At the edge of the cliff

I see you standing at cliff’s edge
your back to me, a silent pledge
will you jump or leap into the sky?
years I stood right by your side
tried to give you my wings
so you could fly
dreamt of soaring through life together
hearts aligned
but you stand still, trapped in your mind
there at the cliff
you lost sense of space and time
can’t wait for you anymore
watch you now from distant shores
will you jump or leap into the sky?
