“Blood. Blood is essential for every living being. It pumps through every human body, keeping us alive. Despite its importance, people generally don’t like the taste of it. However, I wasn’t people. I didn’t know taste.”

It was late into the evening with light opera music playing in the background, the light in the room casting a dim glow over my apartment. The room was in disarray, with bottles of rum and beer scattered everywhere. On my black leather couch in the living room, on the dining table, on chairs, and the floor, the air smelled like a mixture of chloride and blood. And that was because it was indeed chloride and blood.

I was in the kitchen, mopping and sweeping the floor after I cut up my last victim and stored them in the freezer. Ugh, I hate having a mess in the kitchen.

You might be asking why I cut up a person even though I hate making a mess. Well, a cut-up person would fit more easily into the freezer than a whole body, don’t you think?

After I mopped the floor, I continued with the kitchen counter. I poured bleach into a bucket, the smell stinging my nose, and put on some plastic gloves before I drenched a rag into the bleach and wiped the obsidian counter of my kitchen. After two hours, I finally managed to clean my entire apartment, ensuring that no drop of blood was left. The only thing left to do was the stench, the bottles, and the bones of my last victim after I peeled the flesh off their bones. To complete my cleanup, I placed the bottles of alcohol in a blue bag and the bones in a black plastic bag. I then opened all the windows so the smell of bleach and blood would waft away while I was out. After leaving the building, I placed my bags in the trunk of my car and drove to the nearest recycling bin to dispose of the bottles. Then, I continued to the nearest forest. There, I dug up several holes in different spots and put at least three bones from three completely different limbs into one of the holes. I continued that process until no bone was left in my possession.

Finally, I’ve gotten rid of everything. I am now clean.

I breathed a sigh of relief as I pulled back into my driveway, exited the car, and swung my keys around my finger. But before I could return to my apartment, a voice startled me from behind.
