Story

I wasn’t even able to collect my thoughts. The quick punches Chase threw were not bad, not gonna lie, and he always hit the rights spots. Suddenly Olivia pulled me into a hug and cried into my chest. “This was all because of me, Jackson…”, she mumbles quietly. She’s hugging me a bit tight for my liking, I have never been a fan of hugs, but I will let her slide. I can still feel the pain of those godforsaken punches, but I won’t tell Olivia that she’s hurting me right now, because I quite like this, actually. I gently rub her back trying to calm her down, but we are quickly interrupted by someone coming through the door. “What is going on here?”, the person asks. Before I can even look at who it is, Olivia jumps out of my arms and turns to the door, immediately hugging the person coming through without a second thought. It’s Dan. The first person she talked to when she came to this school. I still don’t know how they met because I know that they didn’t meet in school, but honestly it’s none of my business. I know that I have bullied her in the past, but I really do have a soft spot for her. The second I saw her I knew that she was the person that would be able to make my cold heart melt. Ever since what happened to me in the past, I haven’t been the same. I started bullying people and became friends with the worst people on this school, turning myself into the ‘school bully’ that everyone is afraid of. When she first came to this school, I started bullying her immediately, but she always kept a smile on her face, and until this day I don’t know why. She is this strong and beautiful person, that I now know, will stand up for everyone else and help every single soul living on this earth, but always forgets herself. “Everything went so quickly and that’s all I know”, apparently while I was lost in thoughts, Olivia explained everything to Dan, while still hugging him tightly. I can’t help but feel a bit jealous, but my bruises are bad enough already, so I’m happy she chose to hug Dan. “You took it like a Champ, sweetheart”, he calms her down. “And what about you? Are you okay… Jackson?”, Dan asks me with a lot of hesitation in his voice, probably because he knows that this wasn’t my first fight, and knows what kind of terrible person I am, and honestly, I can’t blame him for that. “Fine”, I dryly answer him, giving Olivia a soft smile. “I’m gonna leave y’all alone now”, I add.
