Story

Everything Chase told me hurt me deeply, but I knew he loved her, and I loved her too. As he was talking I could feel my heart aching. But I knew this day was going to come. I bullied Oliva in the past, and I regret it now. I only did it because I was hurting. I still can’t believe I hurt her this much, even though she was smiling the whole time. I just want what’s best for them, so all I did was listen to what Chase had to say and immediately left afterward. I pulled my keys out of my pocket, already heading to the parking lot. I get to my car, open the door and get inside. I lean over to the passenger seat and open the box glove, pulling out an envelope. I open it and check if it still has my money inside. $3,800 dollars. I pull out my phone and open the GPS app, typing the nearest airport into the search bar. I put my phone down, and start driving. 30 Minutes later I arrive at the airport. I take the suitcase out of the trunk, and head inside. I can’t believe that I was already prepared for this day to come. I can’t believe that I had already packed this suitcase, weeks, maybe even months before. I’m going to leave this country. I bought a ticket to a random place, I don’t even know where I’m going. As long as I’m not here anymore. I’m going to be fine. I buy the tickets, and board the plane a few minutes later. I can’t help the memories replaying in my head. The million times I bullied Olivia, a person who didn’t deserve any of the pain I inflicted upon her, yet she was always smiling. She was the happiest person I knew. But now, faced with the consequences of my actions, I realize that I lost her, as well as myself. The plane takes off, and I realize a new chapter has begun. I’m leaving everything and everyone behind. Starting over completely. Completely alone. In a whole different country, without even knowing where I am going. My mind was still going a mile a minute, while I was sitting on that plane, but can’t help to smile at the thought of Olivia. Her beautiful eyes, her sleek and shiny hair, her positivity. She didn’t deserve me. She deserves Chase. Chase is going to treat her right. Treat her the way she deserves to be treated. Like a queen. I was never able to give her that. I look outside the window of the plane. Crashing through the clouds, knowing that the coming months will be hard for me, because everything with beauty reminds me of Olivia. She is happy now. Happy with Chase. He is in love with her, and she is in love with him. They deserve the world. I don’t. I deserve peace.
