Claiiire: Honestly, I don’t believe Merrick would have the time to look into these things himself.

MKenz: Yeah, but calling in an employee after a direct report happens often. Maybe someone other than Rebecca, had mentioned the issue before without giving out a name, until Rebecca brought it up again. Maybe that’s why Merrick called her in before anyone else.

MKenz: As for Laura, we have no proof that she did it.

Claiiire: You don’t have to see everything to know it happened, McKenzie. All her behavior points to it.

MKenz: What behavior exactly? We also don’t speak to her. We can’t expect her to be all sunshine and rainbows with us.

MKenz: Plus, I still don’t know how sabotaging her makes any positive impact on us.

Claiiire: The possible impact would be for her to stop. messing. with. us.

MKenz: Alright, but don’t you think this is too much? Like even if she was the one who reported the copying, that would be nowhere near as bad as this is. We’ve all worked for weeks on this project. Kind of not fair…

Claiiire: No, McKenzie, I don’t think so. She started this first. And to say we should stand still and do nothing, THAT would be unfair. Not this.

Melly;): Claire is right. I can’t stand her with that cheeky grin walking around in the office, thinking she can drive us around whenever she likes.

Melly;): In fact, she mixed personal affairs with work. That’s just plain unprofessional.

MKenz: Okay, if you say so. I just hope she won’t find out it’s us.

Me: Hey Irene, are you in for the deleting reports thing they’re trying to pull? I can’t bring myself to do it. What if they’re wrong about her?

Irene: Well, we’re not supposed to do anything. Claire and Melanie are deleting her files. We’ll just stand there.

Me: Still, I’m going to tell Claire I don’t wanna be a part of that.

Irene: Why though? If you’re really against it, just call in sick tomorrow. There’s no reason to put yourself in an unnecessary argument with Claire. Save the mental energy for something else.

Me: Yeah, maybe you’re right.
