“See you”.
A bus stops right in front of Junia. She searches for her money, buys herself a ticket home and sits down, somewhere in the back. It’s the worst to sit in a bus with what feels like thousands of strangers and either an air conditioner that works way too good considering It’s November, or one that’s broken in summer. But it´s also her favorite time, where she´s alone. Outside there are fields, buildings, empty streets or people, who live a completely different life. Everyone writes a completely different story. And it seems like some people are meant to live a life worse than others.
Bus rides are her only chance to escape in the twisted thoughts of her mind and think about everything. It’s the best, and definitely the worst.
“Next stop, Cantown”. She stands up and leaves the bus. Its cold and windy outside. You can see the trees dying and there leaves falling to the ground. Not much joy to watch. A breeze blows through her hair every few seconds. The sun is almost gone, but there’s still a thin line, right where earth and heaven meet.
There is still loud music blasting from the headphones, which doesn´t help considering the vibe that is already finding its way through.
The bus ride and her way home aren´t long enough to think about all those things that could be overthought. “Hello, I´m home”. She goes right into the kitchen to find a perfectly cooked meal, that smells heavenly. “How was your day?”. “Good, like every other day”. Junias mother watches her slowly, but turns around as if she knows more questions would be too much. All there was to do was to eat peacefully and then watch some tv before Junia decides to go to bed.
*bing* theres a sound from her phone. Now theres a smile on Junias face. It´s a message from Jess. But as fast as the smile comes, it dissapears. Another conflict in sight. “How nice of you to ignore me, again.”. Junia and Jess seem to like each other pretty much, but if there´s one thing that Junia can´t find in her life, its a boy that treats her like she is worth something.
She puts her phone away and decides to sleep. Because that seems to be a safe space for now.
