Early morning, just around lunchtime

Story

My eyes are slowly distinguishing light from dark

At the beginning the difference is not so stark

The light gets brighter, the wake-up anew

The dark begins to form into shapes within my view

Over time the shapes become a bit more colorful

Pixel by Pixel my surrounding becomes more meaningful

And so, slowly I get into gear

I even faintly start to hear

But what is wrong with this new day?

The dawn in my brain has not managed to spirit my dream away?

The dream was I am at the office staring at a pile of paperwork I want to see no more

Fairly awake now I stare at a pile of paperwork and it strikes me I have seen this pile before

As most of us I did dream my dreams one day come true

Now I wished it had not yet been due

It’s kind of creepy dreaming of being at the office and when waking up, being really there

This reminds me of something I wrote myself somewhere

It was about not to dream your life but make your dreams come true

What made me write something like that, puzzled as I am at the moment, I have no clue

With all wisdom and famous quotes it seems to be

They all have limited validity

‘The journey of a thousand miles begins with one small step’ philosophers say

Standing at the edge of a ditch then better take a leap. My advice, if I may

So, however smart the wisdom or a famous quote may appeal to you

Be aware, in your actual situation it might not hold true

The wise one knows where handed down wisdom ends

And only common sense the situation mends
