i thought of you so highly 

it made me blind

one afternoon you came over

with a bottle of whiskey and a lot of mixed emotions 

i remember it like it was yesterday 

you didn’t say a word but drank a lot

you were so mad at yourself

you made a mess out of my room

destroyed everything

in roaring rage

i couldn’t calm you down

you even got physical 

one of the scariest days of my life

you left me in chaos and shock 

you never apologised for that night 

and the worst thing was

the next day you acted like nothing happened

i should’ve left a long time ago

i’m a storm in people’s lives

i come up unexpected 

listen to them and make them happy

and when they feel good enough

they leave me;

some storms pass quickly 

i can’t believe the universe led me 

to someone like you
