The next day, Lily went to school like any normal day, but her best friend just got back from Iceland. Lily didn’t have many friends after her best friend Emily went to Iceland, but she didn’t really care for friends after her mother died. Emily was always there for her. And she came back after a year in Iceland with her family to “Bond”. Emily hasn’t told Lily that she was coming back. In fact, Lily never thought that she would come back or if she came back if she would still want to be her friend.Emily got out of her father’s car who drove her to school that day “so you’re ready for the first day back?” Emily’s father asked her in the car. “Yes, dad I’m fine I’ll be home after school” Emily said, and quickly got out of the car before anyone saw her with her father. Lily saw the strange car that she has never seen before. Plus only school staff can park in the school parking lot. She looked at it to see who was in there, but she couldn’t see it. Was it tinted window. She Was about to turn away and walk to school, but before she could turn to the school, she saw a beautiful Burnett girl step out of the car it was Emily. Lilly approached Emily slowly “Emi?” Lilly asked, Emily turned to see who was asking for her. “Oh my god, Lilly” Emily said with a big smile on her face, Lilly gave Emily a big hug “when did you come back?” Lilly asked, “yesterday. I’ve missed you so much” Emily answered.
Lilly and Emily sat together in Lilly’s cozy room, surrounded by memories and laughter. It had been almost a year since they last saw each other, and they couldn’t wait to catch up. Lilly leaned in, eager to hear all about Emily’s adventures in Iceland. As the room filled with excitement, Emily began recounting her incredible journey through the land of fire and ice. She described the breathtaking landscapes, the majestic waterfalls, and the magical Northern Lights that painted the sky. Lilly listened intently, her eyes sparkling with wonder. After sharing tales of Iceland, the conversation shifted to what had been happening in their lives. Lilly eagerly filled Emily in on the latest happenings at school. She talked about the new teachers, the funny moments in the cafeteria, and the exciting field trips they had taken. Lilly couldn’t help but giggle at Emily’s animated storytelling. But then, with a mischievous smile, Emily leaned closer to Lilly and whispered, “Okay, now I have to tell you about the most exciting thing that’s happened to me recently.” Emily’s eyes widened with anticipation as she waited for Lilly to spill the secret. Taking a deep breath, Lilly confessed, “So, there’s this boy I met at school, and, well, I kind of have a crush on him.” Emily’s face lit up with excitement as she urged Lilly to spill all the details. Lilly blushed, her voice filled with a mix of nerves and happiness as she described how they met, the conversations they had, and the butterflies she felt whenever he was around. Emily couldn’t help but squeal with delight, her friend’s happiness contagious. They spent the rest of the evening giggling and sharing stories, cherishing the bond of friendship that had only grown stronger despite the distance. As the night drew to a close, they made a promise to stay connected and continue sharing their lives, no matter the distance. Lilly felt grateful for Emily’s presence, knowing that their friendship was a treasure that would last a lifetime. And so, Lilly and Emily said there goodbyes and said they would meet up in front of the school the next day.
