I think I met the most perfect person today. I’d been seeing her around the office for the past couple of weeks. She started coming in more and more frequently and today, we spoke for the first time. She asked me about myself and when I told her I was more of a listener she decided to speak more about herself. She’s a personal trainer and you can tell. She has toned arms that make it look like she’s permanently flexing and, combined with the perkiness of her boobs resting on her defined abs, she’s the definition of an Instagram model. The black vest she was wearing basically glued to her figure and the low-rise flare jeans gave her butt a nice round shape and elongated her posture. Or maybe she’s just tall, who knows. What I do know is that she seems interested in me. And I very much in her.
She’s also so sweet and thoughtful. She didn’t want to distract me while I was working, so she invited me out to lunch. Completely her treat.
On our way to the café, the sun hid behind the clouds, so the wind picked up. Her curly hair followed it in a graceful manner. Almost like it knew what was going to happen next and planned everything accordingly to make her look good at all times. I was almost jealous, especially since my hair was being overly dramatic, flailing into my face at the slightest pickup of the wind.
She chose the café I never went to because of how expensive their goods were. But she was so relaxed like she had been there a thousand times. I’d never seen her before, but then again, Tucson isn’t a small town.
We sat by the window and, almost on cue, the sun emerged from its hiding spot. It shone like a spotlight onto her melanin skin. She gave me a warm smile and her eyes turned yellow in the sun.
“Are you ok?” She asked, probably because I was staring at her like I’d never seen a person before.
I stuttered a reply. Then she leaned onto the table, “Don’t be nervous”, gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, “I don’t bite”, winked at me and let her hand linger for a little longer than normal.
And I wish she’d just kept it there.
Either way, I wasn’t really nervous before, but after what she pulled, my belly was in knots and I turned red.
