Fairytale (2)

Story

(This is part 2, so I would be really thankful if you read the first one beforehand. Without further ado: Enjoy :) )

When he approached her,
She didn’t seem empty to him at all.
She seemed like a girl
Trapped inside her head.
To her,
All the world’s faults
Were hers to bear.

The first step was always the hardest,
But he took it for both of them.
“Little girl,” he said,
“Will you leave this place with me?”

She hurt herself,
Clenching her fists as tightly as she could.
As it felt like the pain inside her
Was a little more bearable then.
He was the first one
Not to think she was a ghost—
He just understood.

Her eyes, full of sadness,
Were surrounded by warmth
For the first time.
He slowly came close,
Wrapped her in his arms,
And took her away from the place
She never belonged to.
For he understood,
As his heart was the same.

I guess this is a fairytale,
Where the prince met a girl—
Neither a princess nor a witch,
Just a girl trapped in her head.
And as his heart was shattered,
He simply understood,
Without judging.

They were happy,
A lot.
For only those who have known sadness
Can truly understand what happiness feels

I hope you enjoyed reading these small thoughts of mine. :)
