Story

“Yes! That’s exactly what I think too.” Rosanna let out in excitement. They had already finished eating, but the conversation was flowing between them. The witch had a lot of fun. Even Bora seemed to want to join us. She talked a few times, but Emilia covered it up with coughs and sneezes or just saying she was the one talking. She was sure Rosanna wouldn’t mind Bora, whatsoever. In fact, Rosanna and Bora were quite similar in some ways. But this wasn’t the setting to introduce the two. “Thoughts on thief’s?” Rosanna asked, taking a serious tone. “Stealing from big cooperation is yes, small business is no. Very useful, if not the most in Adventures groups.” Emilia fired back. Rosanna’s serious expression broke into a smile. “We are really on the same wavelength here,” they said happily. It was getting late tho she had been in there for almost an hour. She relies when she looks at the time band on the wall. “I have to go now, but I had fun talking to you, Rosanna.” Emilia says apologetically when she sees the dejected look on Rosanna’s face. “Me too. I hope we meet again. Oh, and thanks for the free food.” Rosanna stood up, walking over to Emilia. The witch also stands spreading her arms out to hug Rosanna. They stand like that for a while in a tight but comforting way. When they finally let go of each other, Emilia moved to grab Bora and her basket. “If we meet again it’s fate.” Emilia said. It was cliché, but Emilia truly meant it and, what’s wrong with a bit of cliché anyway? Rosanna nodded with a grin on her face. Emilia leaves, and so they part ways for the foreseeable future. Both Emilia and Bora were. Emilia continued to march with sweat beats appearing on her forehead. “Why didn’t you tell them where you live?” Bora asked, breaking the silence. “Because that would be stupid.” Emilia answered. “What? But you got along so well with them. I don’t see why it would be stupid, if they seemed trustworthy.” Bora tried to understand the witch. Emilia did not falter once in her steps. “We met only today, and they were clearly in disguise. I could tell that Rosanna was wearing a wig. They might be criminals, for all I know. A very nice criminal, but that’s not the point. I might reconsider it if they saved my life or something.” Emilia stated as a matter of fact. Bora didn’t respond for a few seconds. “I get it, you are right. I was just hoping to also talk to them, especially after they responded to eat my food.” Bora puffed in annoyance. “I’m sorry about that response, but I will make us something to eat after we finish this quest.” Emilia replied with a small smile. It was starting to get lighter and the trees were not as close together any more. Finally, the sunlight triumphed over the density of the trees. Emilia stopped when she was able to look at the clear blue sky. “Let’s take flight here.” Emilia puts Bora into the basket again and the slime goes back to her original form. “Let’s do what now?” Bora questioned, sounding very confused. Emilia takes her pointy hat and puts her hand in it. She fumbles inside for a bit before finding what she was looking for and pulling. She pulled and pulled until her broom came out. Bora gasped loudly, and the witch looked over, grinning from ear to ear. “Pocket dimension!” Emilia announced. Bora is still in shock, so Emilia just continues. She takes her pillow, puts it over the broom, casting, “Simul!” Immediately, the pillow combines with the broom, forming into a seat. She sits down and grabs the basket. “Let’s fly then.” Emilia pushes off the ground with her feet, and they go higher and higher. Emilia laughs, feeling the wind in her hair while Bora, well, “Aahhhhh—!” screams.
