Growing (or trying to)

Story

rootbound

I need to extend my foundation,

I need to grow,

I am trapped in a too small house,

I am too limited,

I am not fertilized.

There are too many other foundations spreading,

all stronger and bigger than me, I’m a late bloomer because I acted grown up as a child and I need to repeat my childhood now.

We cross each other’s paths,

everyone is always tangled

everyone wants the most space.

No one can extend and spread anymore, some stay little and unnoticed their whole life

We are rootbound

withered

When a seed is sprouting and blooming it is succeeding

Is that where the word comes from?

I hope not,

because I was never watered, I have never been treated with fertilizer

How am I supposed to show off my beautiful blossom?

You need a good gardener to succeed in life

That means many will never thrive
