I found an angel
I found a guardian angel
A gift of a desperate god
I was in a situation fatal
I can’t help it, I’m flawed
I stopped believing in safety
But still screamed “save me”
And angel did, more than once
Treating my bleeding cuts
Angel said “I’ll take care now,
Don’t give into the demons
Let me show you how.”
But I didn’t know how to be saved
The demons held me low, close to a grave
Daily persuading me to up my intake.
Demons gave me a sweet poison
Stronger than my angel Jason
Who couldn’t bear to watch me fall.
So I said nothing. Alone in this empty hall.
I’ll fall alone.
“Angel, stay away!
I’m doing this on my own,
My path will lead you astray!
And let it be known,
If I die, don’t think about it, just don’t
You know I can’t live without it, leave it alone
You tried you’re best, I now decide what’s next.”
