I wished her daddy would lie (Part I)

Story

The record of Taylor Swift

was a 10th-Birthday-gift

from my dad

when he played in a band.

So why this hate?

it’s just music that I like to listen

the one thing that makes humankind great

I remember when I played Sparks fly

On the college campus for the first time

for the girl I wished she would still be mine.

Now I only play it for her by getting high

wishing she wouldn’t get lost to that crime

Oh I wished her daddy would lie.

Walking through the pouring rain

Nothing cruises on my brain

But as I see the blinding light

of a local I could feel right

sitting with my wet hair at a stage on a chair

After one single drink

I took the guitar and started to sing

I remember when I played Sparks fly

On the college campus for the first time

for the girl I wished she would still be mine.

Now I only play it for her by getting high

wishing she wouldn’t get lost to that crime

Oh I wished her daddy would lie.
