Story

I think it’s true. It’s true that sometimes the best things in life are those that you’d least expect to happen. Like some people on a crowded space, faces you see pass you by and somehow, without you even knowing, a face that will stay, a face you want to see every time, everyday possible, a face you want to call yours, for ever.

This is my story of that face I found. That face that stays. One that I saw on the platform on a train station amongst tons of people. A face that I didn’t think will fill my days. A face I can never forget. A face that I didn’t think I’d ever call my home.

It all started as a great missing feeling toward a specific thing. A specific touch of a specific somebody. I didn’t know what my chances were, I didn’t know what or where I could fulfill that wish. Until a dear friend told me to download this app: OkCupid. Weird. Why should I even? From the name, honestly, it didn’t even sound appealing. I wasn’t compelled or anywhere close to convinced that this app would bring me somewhere. But as I was already quite frustrated with myself anyways, I gave it a try. Long story short; I didn‘t regret it. At all.

Our conversation wasn’t that long. We talked about basic things, like school, hobbies, and some short questions. At that time, I was still busy with other things and other people, she wasn’t the main point of my focus. But somehow my eloquence invited her to come to join me on a queer festival, without any second guess, what that might be for us.

So we met up for the event. That was our first ever meeting. Deep inside I was thinking about her but I couldn’t really tell what that was, I was way too distracted to even recognize anything coming at me at the time. My train got there late, she was already standing there on the platform waiting for me. First thought: wow, cool. She was wearing all black, black shirt and black loose pants, black shoes with red patterns on them, and a bag on her shoulder. I approached her and I knew for sure it’s the person I’ve been texting to. I’m even surprised she actually showed up, honestly. She didn’t seem to doubt my invitation. She stood there, seemingly nervous and at the same time seemingly cool, like I want to know her. Overall, I brought her here. Actually, my first ever thought while we were still texting was that she somehow spreads this strong energy, she seemed like a nerd to me, but a cool alternative nerd that I like. She seemed smart as well, that’s quite sexy to me. I was interested. I mean, that’s why I invited her, otherwise I wouldn’t have.
