in london’s embrace, 1985,
elizabeth stood, her heart alive.
now a mom she’d become,
her heart now beat for her little one.
from new york’s lights to london’s charm,
her life had swayed, like a lover’s arm.
met her husband, love bloomed so true,
a tiny creature, alexa, grew.
alexa, a name from her grandfather’s past,
a gem, a love amassed.
late in life, motherhood’s embrace,
would she be enough, in this daunting race?
from salzburg’s memories to london’s pace,
her heart carried burdens she couldn’t erase.
her daughter’s future, a lingering dread,
in motherhood’s arms, she held and bled.
as alexa grew, like a sprouting vine,
mothers’ love, an eternal shrine.
she shifted tongues with grace and ease,
german, french, and english keys.
in womanhood, she found her grace,
a late bloomer in life’s hectic race.
but with every milestone her daughter crossed,
elizabeth’s worries would be embossed.
late nights were spent in tearful pray,
for strength and wisdom to light their way.
the symphony of motherhood’s despair,
in london’s heart, she’d find her care.
through joys and tears, she’s come to see,
the beauty of life’s tapestry.
from salzburg’s hills to london’s maze,
her heart’s journey, a constant daze.
in this deeply moving symphony,
sorrows and joys, a life’s decree.
she loved being a mother, that was clear,
but the worry for her daughter she held dear.
the world was changing, so fast and vast,
would her daughter thrive, or be outcast?
she longed to protect her from every harm,
in motherhood’s arms, she sought a calm.
through every note of life’s refrain,
elizabeth found solace in the rain.
in london’s symphony, her heart found grace,
an ever-changing, soulful embrace.
in london’s embrace, 1985,
elizabeth’s life had taken a dive.
at 42, a mom she’d become,
her heart now beat for her little one.
