My heart noticed

Your voiceless screams

On top of the water

Crying to get help

Because you’re helpless

And so am I

Because I’ve waited on you

Longer than I’ve had you

As you’re new to me

And so am I

And people disregard you

But I want to understand you

And I’ve known things in my past

But I’ve never cried for them like I cried for you

You, with your motionless bodies

Laying on your home that is now a grave

And you’re suffocating but I can’t do anything

And you’re so helpless

And I’m so helpless

That I only wish to close your eyes

For one last time

But even that’s not possible

As I could only stare at you

With tears welling up my eyes

Behind the glass

Down on you

Wishing I could’ve saved you

But you’re helpless

And voiceless

And I’m helpless

And I’m screaming in myself

But I’m voiceless too

And we’re staring at each other

With our open eyes

And you’re drowning in your water

And I’m drowned in mine

But I sadly am still soulful

But you’re not
