Me Time

Me time,
What a Devine way to unwind,
Sometimes,
You think being busy is great,
Till eventually it starts to grate

You have to remember who you are,
Not from afar,
Or on a group,
Just you.
An individual soul,
Just you

Other people to love,
Other people to greet,
More than enough people,
With whom who to speak

One person to give your heart,
But where does it all start?
With you

So far you have been fine,
When you don’t rely on other peoples time,
So just remember what makes you you,
You do

Take it all in your stride,
At the end of the day,
You will always have you by your side

The Ocean

The beauty of the blue ocean soothes my soul,
I could stay here forever.
The sun glistening on my face,
The distant sounds of smiling,
Waves which whisper along the edges of the shore

My mind is empty,
My heart is full,
A few days of rest before life begins again,
But that okay,
Life is great,
It flows through me like the calm of the ocean breeze

I’m leaving the bad thoughts,
The stress,
The pressure,
Behind,
To embrace a life that is sublime,
How lucky am I?

To see the sea,
Meet the sky,
To see nature survive,
To have myself by my side

Take these moments to stop,
Rest,
Realise,
What we have is time,
And as quickly as it goes by,
The key is to try,
and enjoy the ride
