Story

“Go this way or that way. It is always the Way.”

No one had ever been able to verify whether a story was based on real events or merely a fairy tale. This story was once passed on face-to-face from person to person on Planet Earth.

Once upon a time, there was a man with a brave heart, a kind nature, a strong character and a moral code. His great adventure was an eternal search for the Holy Grail and the Queen of Flowers. For him, it was not possible to identify the entity, but a strong intuition led him forward. He was open-minded, decisive and thoughtful. Mr. Hoffmann — that was his real name — kept everything he loved most close to his heart. His life was driven by passion, and his fair-minded temperament had to confront harsh reality so often that he had no choice but to take things with a sense of humour.

‘Nothing comes from nothing,’ but in his case, everything came from the depths of his heart. Every good or bad thing that happened to him was caused by his powerful longings and desires to live, to love, and to be loved. As the years went by, he developed his ideas and achieved his goals one by one. He experienced life in as many ways as possible, which put him in states of despair, pure joy and unconditional love. This journey also showed him the way to love, joy and happiness, and taught him to understand other perspectives, endowing him with wisdom despite all the ups and downs.

It was a promising story: the man had inherited a vintage, sky-blue cabriolet from his grandfather, affectionately calling it ‘Sky’ — a faithful companion on all his journeys. The weather in Vienna was poor that day, and Mr. Hoffmann was bored of sitting at his desk. He decided to go to Monte Carlo, where it was sunny and bright, so they left the city early the next morning. It was a lengthy trip for him and Sky. Taking the scenic route, the man conquered the European highways. Mr. Hoffmann drove at 180 km per hour with the wind in his hair, battling rain and sunshine in different spots on the motorway. With the top down, he could experience all the slight changes in weather and overtake each car he met on the way. Music was his best companion on this trip. The future was blurred for him because he had never known what tomorrow would bring; each stop he made was a haphazard choice.

Life had always taken him somewhere unexpected; one day he would be in one place, and the next, somewhere else entirely.  Once the adventurer reached his destination, he never stayed there long. The man was not wired to have an irresistible desire to put down roots in one place. Mr. Hoffmann might not yet have found the place for him. What was his story? What stirred him up? The mystery of his personality remained undiscovered. However, if his complete history were brought into light, there would be no more puzzles to solve, and the story would lose its intrigue. Mr. Hoffmann was a person with great potential, but no particular destination. Ultimately, a real story unfolded.
