Today I want to write about the longing for something more, something deeper and something that really counts. We all have that in our hearts, although many of us just bury it for the most part of our lives. Why? – I think it is because we are scared.

Because if we give it our best shot and want to make it count we risk losing it all.There is this saying about rather keeping he sparrow in your hand than having a pigeon on the roof where it can fly away any time. I reckon we live our lives that way too often. Hiding away a dream doesn’t actually make it go away. Sometimes we hold on to dreams that are socially acceptable – like having that big house all to yourself or driving the finest car on the street. We struggle to get there and yet many might have experienced that those dreams of “having” something never quite meet your expectations once they actually came true. Things won’t make you happy, at least not for long. What we NEED for happiness is so much more than that and still it fits into a little thing like a human heart. Can you imagine that?

Great people have tried to define the purpose of life, philosophers, doctors, scientists, authors,…there is no lack of searching. Yet we find ourselves in a day and age where thousands of people merely exist. It is definitely easier, I can relate to that. Turning off that yearning for more in the depth of your heart and just follow your daily routine.

But hey – YOU are created for more than that. Today I want to tell you about the key that I was given to unlock the richest colors of life. It is a very simple fact that has changed my life forever.

Jesus is the Lord. – Sounds pretty old-fashioned, yet it is as true as it was 2000 years ago. In Austria we live in a country of peace and prosperity. Thousands of migrants came to us over the last years, because they hope for a good and save life here. But still, people here chose to kill themselves because no wealth whatsoever can fill the emptiness in your heart and soul. I want to encourage you to look at your life, dare to look in your heart. Doesn’t your heart cry for more? Friend, from the experience of my life I can tell you, that it is true. – God loves you!

You may have heard that before, but did you ever believe it? Can you grasp the fact, that you are wanted and loved by a God that is greater than you could ever imagine? Do you dare to ask Him to show you His love?

Please do. Because the message that God has given my life is different from everything that the world will tell you. YOU are loved before you ever thought of God, and despite everything you have ever done. Believe me, I know – I have done my fair share of pretty shitty things. Still He chose to walk with me, use me to spread the word of His love. His heart longs for you to live life to the fullest!
