The room get quiet, phones are off,
Not to hear a single cough.
The screen lights up, the thoughts shout „action”,
Melting into the tender seat is pure satisfaction.
The first movie of the year,
The main lead is the reason why I’m here.
Three dimensions will lead me away,
Let the fun begin. That’s all there is to say.

The curtains rise, the screen is free, now lean back. Just wait and see.

Childhood memories are coming back to life,
In reminders of good times with family and friends I thrive.
Stealing off all my sibling’s popcorn,
This was the moment those iconic battles were born.
How we as friends choose the movie I can’t recall.
We thought to be the coolest of them all. 
Watching this movie, we shouldn’t have done,
The sleep I was getting now was nearly none.

 
The curtains rise, the screen is free, now lean back and count to three.

The genre of movies does always extend,
My current favourite does always depend.
When comedy darts across the screen,
The happiest faces I’ve ever seen.
When romance moves one to tears,
Or thrillers make you face your fears.
The storyline will make emotions surface,
So, the cinema fulfils its purpose.  

The curtains rise, the screen is free, a great time you’ll have, I guarantee.

Cinemas were said to disappear,
But that’s only rumours that you hear.
It allows your mind to travel far,
Far off from everyone’s radar.
It allows you to forget reality.
Until the movie reaches its finality.
