Parade

The parade is the day

we can say, what we have to say.

The day we put ourselves on display

to show everyone that being gay is okay.

And not just being gay

but love in any way.

Love between men.

Love between women.

Love for yourself and your body.

Or no love at all.

It’s really no revolution

and i don’t understand the confusion.

Let anyone be, who they want to be

that is what i plea.

It is the day of the rainbow

and it should always remain so.

A day to get together

no matter the weather.

A day to be ourselves

without being thrown in cells.

Culture can not be missing

just as people kissing.

For me it’s the best day of the year

and i hold it very dear.

A day many a queen

will be seen

dancing in the street

to a loud beat.
