Story

Maybe Because?

People stare at me cause when it rains I wear pink shades
And I keep them on no matter the weather, even when the light fades
Maybe you just can’t see the sun
Because you got no pink sunglasses on?

People laugh at me cause I love crazy colours on a grey thoughtful day
And I keep on doing my pink and sparkle to glitter the grey and dark thoughts away
Maybe you can’t see the glooming rainbow in all it’s glory
Because you’re wearing solely sad beige while being sorry and worry?

People wonder bout me cause when I’m hurt I laugh til I cry
And I keep on smiling, can’t make a sad face no matter how hard I try
Maybe you all can’t manage to smile
Because you’re so focused on the drama instead of the lesson every once in a while?

Time To Look At Your Own Reflection In The Lake Of Life.

Day by day this miniature mind world is gettin too small for me
Like a rainbowfish trapped in a bathtub I feel I need to break free

Stuck within the edges of a lake, like a limited horizon ocean
Filled with fake smiles and narrow-minded poisoning potion

Calling me sad single woman cause I got no kids, no car, I’m not even a wife
I ask in return: Are you livin your purpose, do you know the meaning of life?

Do you influence or inspire, control or connect?
Do you blame the world for your pain or do the work and self-reflect?

Always stayin on flat surface, never dive deep
Avoiding elevation to the next level, yeah I know those stairs of self-reflection are scary and steep

If you can’t make yourself feel whole, you shouldn’t bind someone else to do the job
Just fix yourself first, then the right partner will be the magical cherry on your own milkshake’s top

So I ask you to close your eyes and hear this divine message comin through:
Are you running from or towards the goal that’s actually meant for you?
