Religions calling

Story
Religious place

In Zen’s tranquil gardens, silence fills the air,
While meditation brings calmness in a world of despair.
A world where Buddha’s wisdom rises high,
The temples of the East can be seen from the sky.

While in Ancient Greece, Apollos harp does play,
The songs of Nymphs and Muses guide through the day.
When Hermes invites us on a flight,
Zeus’ thunderbolt lights up the sky so bright.

Jesus carrying the cross, to die for our sins,
A crown of thorns he wears, where mercy begins.
In Christianity, the prophecy says, you are not alone,
Because love and compassion-filled stories are known.

Five times a day, you hear the muezzin call,
From early mornings all the way to dusk when the sun does fall.
The Qur’an verses swirl around, guiding the faithful who are near,
The echoes of prayers reaching from the mosque are soft and clear.

When sacred circles play their symphony,
Nature’s spirits are dancing to its melody.
These are the places where the earth meets the sky,
The universe makes all the planets align.

When the menorah is lit and its glow held dear,
Judaism’s journey is passing year by year.
Torah texts gathered through the ages,
On Sabbath have a rest, listen to the sacred pages.

In the purity of Shinto, the gods reside,
In blessed nature and shrines, the spirits guide.
The shrine stands tall, creating a passage to the divine,
In Japan’s heart, the kami will shine.

No matter where you come from or where you go,
No matter what you believe in or what you know,
No matter what you think or what you do.
On your journey there will be a place that calls for you.
