Somebody’s someone
Routines are set. Deadlines are met.
Socialite, no dating life, up past ten
That’s the way I thought my life would remain.
Hard at work but hardly working,
This is the world that I am twirling.
Friendly with no friends to account for.
That’s the path I set myself out for.
Then you took place. The fool. The Grace.
The Hearttaker, Smilemaker. Who have I become?
You smile bright. Is there some light?
Permanently on you? Are you from heavenly descent?
You’re a saint amongst my sins.
I never wanted to be somebody’s someone
But then I found you.
Learning Love
Learning love from fiction,
No person to exhibit.
No teacher to permit me to start loving someone.
No instructions are given, manuals are empty,
But people say love comes easy.
The shows are sexual, but I prefer factual.
How am I supposed to learn?
Without guidance. Call me stern.
Attraction fails me. How do I fall when nothing intrigues me ?
Yes, love does not come naturally.
